The system software group at CRL provides solutions in the area of application scaling, parallel I/O, HPC system simulation, networking routing algorithms and HPC software stack. The major research and development activities involving this group are as below:
- Development of network routing algorithms that support optimum communication for our large cluster
- Scaling and Parallelization of applications that are run on ‘eka’
- GPU programming for optimizing single node performance
- Parallel IO for reading and writing large data sets
- Management, Benchmarking and Optimization of HPC cluster performance at the cluster software stack levels
